Founded in 1913, the Dallas Alumnae Association is one of the oldest and largest alumnae associations of Kappa Kappa Gamma.  It has a rich heritage of serving the Dallas community, the Kappa Kappa Gamma collegiate chapter at Southern Methodist University and the Fraternity at large. Our association’s geographic boundaries encompass the heart of the Dallas area, including University Park, Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Bluffview, North Dallas, Greenway Parks, Uptown, Downtown, Lakewood, East Dallas, Kessler and Stevens Park. Our members range in age from 21 to 98 and are from diverse collegiate chapter backgrounds. The Association began by serving the needs of the Dallas community, and later, the needs of its chapter at SMU, which was founded in 1929. Throughout the years, the Association has been interested in benefiting the needs of the Dallas community and the fraternity at large. We are proud to say we are one of the largest associations of Kappa Kappa Gamma in the United States.

We offer our members three groups to join based on age, scheduling and interests: DAY GROUP, NIGHT GROUP & JUNIOR NIGHT GROUP
DAY GROUP The largest of the three groups, the Day Group includes a diverse group of women in age and interest. Our meetings are held at least three times a year, typically on a Tuesday at 11:45, and includes a light lunch, an interesting, entertaining, or fun program with lively conversation. We would love to see you at any of our gatherings!
NIGHT GROUP A diverse group of women of varied ages from age 30 and up, from many chapters, and who enjoy meeting at night.  Our members volunteer at Tablescapes, participate in Founders Day with the other Dallas Alumnae Association Groups, and contribute in December each year to support a deserving Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Kappa.  Typically meeting at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday each month from September to May, you may count on four things wiht the Night Group... food for the mind, body, and soul, beverages to quench your thirst, an outstanding program at beautiful meeting locations and Kappa fellowship.
JUNIOR NIGHT GROUP  Recent College Grad...  Just Moved to Dallas... Looking for a Young Kappa Group? The Junior Night Group is comprised of recent college graduates and young professionals all residing in the Dallas area (22-30 years old). Whether you grew up in Dallas or just moved here, the Junior Night Group is sure to provide you with wonderful social opportunities!  We meet quarterly at local hot spots to socialize and grow the bonds of sisterhood.  Our events serve as a great way to network, mingle with new acquaintances, and make new friends.

We have many opportunities to connect with other Kappas, get involved in and learn more about our community, and serve as a volunteer at one of our events, on a committee, or on our board. Our all-alumnae events include the signature fundraiser, Kappa Tablescapes, our Founders Day Celebration, Holiday Tea and Spring Girls Night Out. The proceeds of our fundraiser are distributed to meet the needs of designated community agencies each year.  Additionally, our members participate in our national philanthropy, Reading Is Fundamental, and serve as mentors and advisers to our collegiate chapter at SMU.

We invite all members of the Dallas Alumnae Association to participate on any of our committees; Kappa Tablescapes, Philanthropy, Reference, Technology, and Reading Is Fundamental.  Members may choose to host meetings at their home, help with refreshments, or serve on the Advisory or House Boards at the Gamma Phi chapter at SMU.

Missed a meeting or feel like you are out of the loop — don’t know which Kappa married, who had a baby or which sister might need a bowl of chicken soup?  Our Fleur-de-lis Chairs are always on the look out for news.  Pass along a tip by phone, fax, or email.  They will coordinate appropriate communication from our group.
