Our Groups - Day Group, Night Group, Junior Night Group

The Dallas Alumnae Association has three different groups from which to choose. We invite you to learn about each group, the Day Group, the Night Group and the Junior Night Group, and we hope you join us!

Chartered in 1913, the Dallas Alumnae Association began by serving the needs of the Dallas community and later the needs of its chapter at SMU which was founded in 1929. Throughout the years, the Association has been interested in benefiting the needs of the Dallas community and the fraternity at large. We are proud to say we are one of the largest associations of Kappa Kappa Gamma in the United States.

The Day Group has spawned two additional sub groups: the Night Group and the Junior Night Group.  All three groups are positioned to meet the needs and time schedules of our multigenerational membership. We invite you to join the group(s) that will meet your needs, knowing you are welcome at any of our group meetings.

Day Group

The Day Group is the largest of the three groups and includes a diverse group of women in age and interest. Our meetings are held at least six times a year, typically on a Tuesday at 11:45, and includes a light lunch, an interesting, entertaining, or fun program with lively conversation. We would love to see you at any of our gatherings!

For additional information about the Dallas Alumnae Association or about the Day Group, contact the Day Group President, the Membership Chair, or other officer via the Contacts page.

Night Group

Greetings Kappa Sisters!

“One, two, three words locked by the Golden Key.
To all who read it spells our creed, K. K. and G.”

Whether or not you have thought about those words of our motto lately, plan now to reconnect with other Kappas in the Night Group.  We are a diverse group of women of varied ages from around 30 on up, and from many chapters, who enjoy meeting at night.  Our members volunteer at Tablescapes, and participate in Founders Day with the other Dallas Alumnae Association Groups.  Night Group members contribute money each year in December to a deserving Rose McGill Holiday Sharing Kappa.

The Dallas Night Group meets at 7:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday each month from September to May, unless stated otherwise in our event calendar.  You can count on four things at each meeting... food for the mind, body, and soul, and beverages to quench your thirst.  The program team works hard to arrange beautiful meeting locations, outstanding entertainment, and enthusiastic hostesses who open their home, greet us at the door, or tempt us with delicious food and beverage before our program.

Missed a meeting or feel like you are out of the loop—don’t know which Kappa married, who had a baby or which sister might need a bowl of chicken soup?  Our Fleur-de-lis Chairmen are always on the look out for scoop.  Toot your own horn, or pass along a hot tip by phone, fax, or email.  They will coordinate appropriate communication from our group.

One, two, three words, we want you!

Looking for a Young Kappa Group?

We Want You!!!

The Junior Night Group is comprised of recent college graduates and young professionals all residing in the Dallas area (22-30 years old).  Whether you grew up in Dallas or just moved here for the first time, the Junior Night Group is sure to provide you with wonderful social opportunities!  We meet quarterly at local hot spots to socialize and grow the bonds of sisterhood.  Our events serve as a great way to network, mingle with new acquaintances, and make new friends.

In addition to social events, we participate in philanthropic events, including Race for the Cure and Reading is Fundamental events.  We also team up with the other alumnae groups for philanthropic and social events.  Feel free to bring Kappa friends to all events and do not hesitate to contact our group with any questions.
